ABSTRACT
The background of this research is based on the understanding as an effort to improve the economic growth, so that, need developing relationship between one to another sector or between districts in East Java, moreover between the latest districts with advanced districts. So that, the positive effect of the growth which influenced to the even distribution of developing activities along with development in East Java that can be achieved.
The purpose of this research is knowing 1) which district that has great potential in economic growth in north coast territorial of East Java, 2) what is economy potential in north coast territorial of East Java, 3) economy potential in each north coast territorial of East Java which included into fast economy potential growth in East Java, and 4) in which location among those territorial that necessary to build store or trading centre that can support social interaction among those territorial.
This research is explanatory research with north coast territorial of East Java as a sample of research object is Surabaya city, Gresik County, Lamongan, Tuban and Bojonegoro. Data analysis modal which used by the researcher is space interaction of gravity model analysis, Location Quotient, Shift share and breaking point analysis.
The research result shows the district which has fast economy potential growth based on space internasi with Surabaya City is Gresik Country. 2) Surabaya city territorial has special considered superior in processing industrial sector, Gresik County has special considered superior for processing industrial too, Lamongan, Tuban and Bojonegoro has special considered superior in farming; trading; hotel and restaurant and services. 3) Shift share analysis result shows that Surabaya city which has potential also gives contribution in absorbing employee not only for province but also for district are construction sector, financial, rental and others services. Gresik County is in industrial sector, construction and others. Lamongan, Tuban, Bojonegoro Country is on industrial sector and construction. 4) Breaking point analysis result decided for opening stores centre that can create interaction among districts, especially city center is Gresik County in Kebomas district, in Gending political district administered by a village chief. Lamongan County in Deket district area;Tuban County in Widang district area and Bojonegoro County in Boureno district area.
This research result shows performance from each considered superior that hasn’t able to contribute in rating of absorbing employee, nor comparing with province level or local district level sectors need to be given attention. So that the economic construction that based on society welfare increasing can be achieved.
